Last week at the conclusion of the awesome interview with TO, we mentioned we would have Matt Bach, Director of UCAN Triathlon join us to talk about how he "Matt" overcame his own nutrition demons and reaching pro-like performances.
Of course, thanks to last week's guest Tim O'Donnell for joining us to talk about his record breaking performance at Kona this year. TO - good luck in Cozumel next week!

Interview Introduction:
Matt Bach began his endurance journey starting with doing his first triathlon with his wife in 2010 starting a 5 year journey to qualify for Kona in 2015. In that five years, he learned a ton of lesson about nutrition and how to fuel for an iron-distance effort.
Shout Out to UCAN:
I'd like to throw out a complimentary plug for Generation UCAN. As I mentioned with Matt, I discovered UCAN in the preparation for my last Ironman. I'm using UCAN now and really loving it. I mix a bottle of UCAN the night before my morning workouts and then drink the bottle on the way to the pool or when warming up on the trainer. After that, I have the hydration formula for the remainder of the workout that has no fuel but has sodium. Both products taste great and I'm really like the blender bottle. If you want to try it for yourself, check out the starter pack link in the show notes. https://www.generationucan.com/product/ucan-tri-starter-pack/

Let’s make cycling safer for everyone!!

Endurance News:
Nick Butter 30, has become the first person to complete a marathon in all 196 countries recognized by the United Nations, finishing his challenge in Greece on Sunday. Butter has so far raised over £65,000 ($83,000) for charity Prostate Cancer UK as a result of his record-breaking odyssey, which began on January 6, 2018. Butter, a former banker who hails from Dorset in the south of England, ran his first marathon at the age of 11. Later, he competed at a high level while keeping up an office job, but eventually decided to become a full-time runner. The idea for his 196-country challenge came when Butter met a man at a race in the Sahara desert who had been diagnosed with terminal prostate cancer. Kevin Webber imparted a powerful message that inspired Butter to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK and, when he realized that nobody had ever run a marathon in every country in the world, he set off to become the first person to do so. "You've got to value your time, you cannot just assume that you're going to get to retirement and live this life, you've got to go and do what you want now," Butter told CNN.
